Shapewear Options
Shapewear has been around for many years. Before the creation of the current crop of innovative new fabrics, shapewear squashed and flattened our problem areas, however, gaining a flat tummy often resulted in a 'muffin top' in return as the excess flesh spilled out over the top of the restrictive fabrics.
Now we have shape wear with non-binding waist and leg bands and higher waists. This means that any excess flesh is prevented from spilling over the edge where the garment finishes. The new generation of shapewear gently tapers off leaving you looking shapely and smooth. Try on some shapewear under a fitted dress and see what a difference it makes.
There are many different types of Shapewear around and we suggest that you start by identifying which part of your body you would most like to slim so that you can look at the many different shapewear options available online. We have reviewed some leading online retailers and problem areas are largely categorised as legs, bums and tums. Within these three categories there are more specific items of shapewear designed to target specific problem areas with the use of briefs/pants, camisoles, hosiery/tights, slips and swimwear.
Shapewear Brands
There are many lingerie manufacturers offering shapewear and we can recommend online retailers who offer the following brands:

Plus there is hosiery from Levante, Charnos, Spanx, Falke, Aristoc, Wolford and Marks & Spencer tights and a range of figure shaping swimwear from Triumph, Miraclesuit, Seaspray and Panache.
